Fish eye Manipulation

Fish Eye - A fisheye distortion is an extremely wide-angle hemispherical image.
A fisheye lens can be used to shoot broad landscapes to suggest the curve of the earth, however generally it produces a strange distorted appearance of the space. This incorrect reinterpretation of the space can be used to accentuate certain characteristics of the space.

This surreal painting uses the fisheye distortion to accentuate the grand room and the importance of the centre thrown.

In a similar manner, this photograph focuses on the centerpiece being the church. The fisheye puts all importance on the church accentuating the grandness as it towers over the viewer.

This photo was taken using a fisheye extension. The Fisheye effect accentuates the height of the mast. Becuase of the curvature of the lens, the tip of the mast begins to curve back over you enhancing the perspective.

While this image is not taken with a fish eye lens, I have used photoshop to stitch this series of images together in a way that replicates this effect. The fish eye re-enforces the strange feeling of uncertainty from this space.
